today i followed the plan and did 5 miles again, this one was tougher for sure, i did intervals of high intensity bursts and easy jogs, my time was 47 minutes, so i'm getting better. tommorow's just a 5 k so it shouldn't be bad at all. i'm gonna go the opposite way i normally go becuase i think the path is sloped the same direction the whole way and it's started to hurt my right leg abit. i'm having a little trouble walking because my calfs hurt. that's wat i get for forgetting to stretch afterwards OOPS. lol


well i'ts 830 and i'm off to bed.

First day of actual running and i may have gotten a little excited, i was only supposed to run about 5 k, but ended up running about 8.8k. oooops. it was a nice run though, ran to the serpentine and went around it three times than came home, took about 51 minutes which is a little depressing, but i wasn't running at a fast pace and was never out of breath the whole time. tomorrows run will be harder though, five miles i think. something to look foreward to. it's 8 30 and i'm going to be, not for training or anything, i'm just tired at work. 3 days left then i'm free. running outside is so much more enjoyable than running on a treadmill, i think i'm never using it again.

So i'm tracking my progress with this new running program and i think it's going good so far considering today's a rest day i think i did amazing. i didn't eat to much junk food and am trying to keep hydrated the best i can. the reason i want to do this program is so i can make the nordic ski team at carleton u this winter. i not only want to make the team, but i want to make the traveling team. i think this should keep me motivated to do my best and to have a goal in mind. it also means when i start school in 2 weeks i'll have other people to train with. i'm looking forward to being able to run in ottawa as opposed to london, alot more fresh air and maybe some runs in gatineau if i'm lucky. still haven't used my camera yet, but i'll get around to using it soon, catch some candid moments of saying bye to mom, that should produce some good shots. :)

Ran Today

I ran five k today in 25 minutes, probably the worst time ever. I decided i'm starting a running program to improve my times and break a 20 minute 5 k and a 40 minute 10 k before the new year. Hopefully it works. I wanna run like Bolt lol.

First Blog Entry

So this is my first blog entry, how exciting! I guess I'm supposed to say what I did today. hmmm. Well today i went up to Lakenheath with the family and shopped around. i got a new digital camera so hopefully it will come in handy and i can figure out how to get pictures and videos up online. i also went to the skatepark and quit skateboarding again because I'm horrible at it. 


This is the pre university stage of this blog. hopefully i'll get a lot of entries in at uni, but right now it's my last week of work before crossing the ocean and coming home. 

i'll write something tomorrow and maybe try out some pictures, but right now i have better things to do :)
